"Métissage" in French means a great mingling of cultures. The project required researching the Silk Road called a great “Cultural Bridge” between Asia and Europe in ancient time. Many elements from different cultures and countries were selected. Among them, the construction of the domes in mosques is most impressive to me: the repeated quadrilateral structure. It is a sturdy and durable building structure. However, when the structure is made of soft materials, the parallelogram-type deformation becomes its new character. 

On the basis of this interesting structure, a multifunctional felt bag has been manufactured for street musicians. The bag could be used as a cushion during the performance or as a clothing storage bag in traveling. What's more, the blue color of the bag used the dominant color in Islamic art and architecture as reference.
